A man who was traveling on a Southwest Airlines flight has been arrested after he allegedly exposed his genitals and masturbated four times in front of other passengers during a three-hour flight from Seattle to Phoenix on Saturday, April 2.
Antonio Sherrodd McGarity was traveling to Phoenix on Southwest flight 3814 on Saturday when he allegedly caused a series of lewd disturbances. Shortly after the flight took off, McGarity reportedly pulled down his pants, exposed his member to the woman beside him, and started masturbating while the plane was in the air, the Daily Beast reported.
When the female passenger seated next to him noticed the vulgar behavior, she began taking pictures of McGarity on her phone. After masturbating the first time, McGarity allegedly fell asleep. The female passenger proceeded to tell a crew member about what she had witnessed. She was immediately allowed to move to another seat.
When the Southwest Airlines flight landed at Sky Harbor International Airport, the suspect was taken into custody, and officers from the Phoenix Police Department interviewed the woman about the ordeal. She told the authorities that she had seen McGarity masturbating “on four separate occasions, using both his left and right hands.”
When McGarity was interrogated by FBI agents, he allegedly admitted to his in-flight behavior, DNyuz reported.
According to McGarity, he asked the female witness if she minded if he began masturbating. Hearing this, the female witness allegedly put her hands in the air and said "It really doesn’t matter," claimed the suspect.
McGarity reportedly thought that the response was “kind of kinky” and believed the female was comfortable with him pleasuring himself in front of her. Following the incident, Southwest Airlines slapped McGarity with a lifetime ban.
“On April 2, we received reports of inappropriate Customer behavior on flight 3814 from SEA to PHX. The situation was reported to Crewmembers while inflight, and the Captain contacted law enforcement to meet the aircraft upon arrival,” the airline said in a statement. “We immediately placed the passenger on our No-Fly List, resulting in a lifetime ban from traveling on Southwest.”
