"Lo Que La Vida Me Robó" continues to surprise viewers with all its twist and turns as Montserrat (Angelique Boyer) and Alejandro (Sebastián Rulli) fight all obstacles for their love. Spoiler Alert! Spoiler Alert! Episode 124 has Pedro Medina (Sergio Sendel) receiving news that Nadia (Alejandra Garcia) was spotted playing at a concert in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The pianist had run away with her husband threatened to kill her, her lover Victor (Alejandro Avila) and her then unborn baby. Montserrat and José Luis (Luis Roberto Guzmán) grow closer together and he asks her to marry him. Feeling that she is ready to move in, Montserrat takes him up on his offer. Back in Argentina, Alejandro finally wakes up from his coma after more than seven years.
Pedro plans a trip down to South America. Victor finds out that Alejandro woke up for a couple of minutes and the doctor informs him that he can now breathe on his own and not need help. Dimitrio (Osvaldo Benavides) is falling for Monica and is telling his newphew Laurito. The latter creates a confusion when Monica calls pranking her and telling her that he is Dimitrio's son and to not bother them anymore. Montserrat goes to the beach and is still having a hard time coping with Alejandro's apparent death. "Tonight I say goodbye to you, knowing that when God decides to take me our souls will come together once again," Montserrat says before depositing her wedding ring in a bottle and throwing it into the ocean. The next day Alejandro wakes up once again and Montserrat is his first thought.
Episode 117 had our characters flash forward seven years into the future and completely reset the storyline. To give some context into what happened we go back to Episode 115. Montserrat is seen battling between life and death after Maria shot her, as she is on the operating table it seems that she has died and is at the gates of heaven where she meets up with her father. Montse never had the opportunity to say goodbye to him as he died of a heart attack at Alejandro's house and this time was used for both to catch up. Alejandro is fleeing from the corrupt Pedro Medina that wants to imprison him. Alejandro plans to keep his family and friends safe and arranges for a private jet to take them out of the country. Victor and Nadia are pressuring Alejandro to leave without his family as their life is in danger. Alejandro concedes and decides to leave with his friends, not knowing what happened to Montserrat. The airplane starts having some difficulties and ends up nosediving and crashing into the ocean, taking a note from the Malaysian airlines disaster.
