"Lo Que La Vida Me Robó" has been connecting with the Spanish-speaking audience that follows the telenovela weeknights on Univision due to its intense and revolving storyline. The series starring Angelique Boyer and Sebastián Rulli has always something new cooking up that intensifies the predicaments that the characters face on a daily basis. Episode 96 of the Angellin Nesma produced telenovela was one to remember and we have spoilers for you. As we previously revealed, Alejandro (Rulli) is in jail and framed for drug trafficking by Pedro Medina (Sergio Sendel) who wants to ruin him. After the death of Joaquín Arechiga (Luis Xavier), Alejandro found out he left a note that would absolve Alejandro from all his accusations.
Alejandro calls Padre Anselmo (Eric Del Castillo) for a visitation and gives him the note that will liberate him from jail. Alejandro asks him to deliver it to José Luis (Luis Roberto Guzmán) to clear his name. Montserrat is anguished as she believes that José Luis is working against them and feels threatened. Pedro sends María (Grettell Váldez) to find out what happened to the letter and she pays a visit to Padre Anselmo. María steals the letter and is now in her posession. Together with Adolfo (Ferdinando Valencia) they decide make some money out of the situation and blackmail Montserrat's (Boyer) brother. Pedro finds out that María has the letter and pays her a visit. When she denies to show him the letter he stars beating her; María gives in and gives him the letter, which Pedro burns and turns into ashes.
José Luis finds María in her home with severe bruises on her face and tries to help her. Montserrat walks in and believes José Luis was the one that beat María, which she perpetuates for her to believe. José Luis tries to tell her María is lying but Montserrat is just so angry that she doesn't believe anything coming from him and slaps him. Montserrat leaves and comes back later to check up on María. She overhears her talking with Adolfo saying it was Pedro Medina who physically assaulted her. Montserrat goes to apologize to José Luis and he takes advantage of the situation and plants a kiss on her. Remember, he is in belief that Montserrat still loves him after Fabiola (Lisset) lied to him. Montserrat pushes him away, but he corners her and... "Lo Que La Vida Me Robó" continues to air Monday through Friday at 9pm/8c on Univisión.
