While Square Enix and Japanese video game artist Tetsuya Nomura are keeping silent about the release date for the highly anticipated title "Kingdom Hearts 3," fans are at least able to gaze at the beautiful PS4 gameplay in the video below! While the visual text has not been translated to English, a lot can be seen by simply watching the exciting and action-packed trailer.
The first thing you notice is that Sora is still our protagonist in the next chapter of "Kingdom Hearts" and his old pals Goofy and Donald Duck are still his allies. You can see the three fighting a hoard of monsters as Sora swings and slashes with his Key Blade and also throws out different powers while Goofy and Donald back him up. Another big thing to notice is Twilight Town is going to be making a return to the franchise as a playable world.
The clip also showed off some awesome fighting sequences and brand new fighting techniques. In the trailer Sora can be seen performing a special "dive" technique that grants him, what seems to be, a temporary fighting boost for enhanced gameplay. We also see some dive forms that were present in the 'Birth By Sleep" installation. As for the new fighting style, it seems to be based around the players surroundings. In the trailer we see Sora using a vibrant roller coaster and pirate ship to his advantage to defeat his enemies.
In the latter Sora is directing a large pirate ship to attack a plethora of rock creatures. The pirate ship swings in whatever direction Sora points and knocks down the enemies like bowling pins. As for the roller coaster sequence Sora, Donald and Goofy are riding this beautifully detailed thing around a giant rocky boss monster and attacking at the same time.
Meanwhile we now know KH3 won't be making its debut release in late 2014 as once originally thought, as Square Enix just finished "Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 Remix" which is expected to launch December 2014. As Sony co-director Tai Yasue pointed out "Kingdom Hearts 2.5 Remix" works as a way to recruit new gamers as well as help prepare returning gamers for the series' next big title,"Kingdom Hearts 3."
