‘Kingdom Hearts 3’ Fights Fans Are Dying To See: Will Tetsuya Nomura Make It Happen?

“Kingdom Hearts 3” has been a long time coming, and while fans wade through the excruciatingly long delay, they have found some creative uses of their time. Mainly by suggesting what exactly they want to see in the highly anticipated KH3, and in addition who they want to see in the final game in the impressive video series. By using Reddit, multiple fans have expressed their opinions on each aspect of the game, from weapons, scenery, characters and even soundtrack, the loyal army of KH fans know what they like. So when one fan proposed the question of, “In “KH3” who vs. who are you looking forward to in a fight?” Grammar aside, the question is certainly thought provoking, so much so that over 50 Reddit users decided to explain in depth just what popular confrontation they are most looking forward to.

After comments are posted, other users are able to up vote some while down voting others, through this system the most popular answer is shown at the top of the page. With 23 points, Reddit user Sea-Salt seemed to encapsulate the same desires as other “KH3” fans when he proposed a fight between Sora and Vanitas, explaining, “3D seems to be teasing at a return for him, and the fact both share the same voice actor as well would make the interactions between them amusing, to say the least.” Other users echoed Sea-Salt’s desire for a battle between Sora and Vanitat, believing that this confrontation could branch of into a possible reawakening of Ventus. Aside from the main protagonist, users are also interested in a fight between Roxas and Xemnas, citing their past tension, and how passionate Roxas was. However, this fight could only occur if Roxas did come back in “KH3” but other users did agree with the battle commenting, “Ohh, that’s a good one.”

More fans are interested in the return of Roxas, and one user went so in depth as to describe a brand new storyline for “KH3,” one that in our opinion should absolutely be heard by Tetsuya Nomura and the Square Enix development team. He begins his long and colorful description with a dramatic return of Roxas, “I think that the game should start with a Dive into the Heart of Sora. I want it to be him retrieving Roxas from his own heart.” The entire plot is way too detailed to put in this piece, however it is absolutely worth a read. Other “KH3” fans agreed with his ideas for the next installment, commenting, “Nomura needs to hire this guy.”

Despite the wishful thinking for new rivals and battles, fans of KH3 will certainly be receiving some new weaponry! In a recent interview with Famitsu, a Japanese gaming magazine, Tetsuya Nomura revealed that Sora’s signature keyblade would no longer just be a simple weapon in the third installment of “Kingdom Hearts.” In the “Birth By Sleep” installment, gamers saw their first glimpse of an advanced keyblade, when the tool transformed into a vehicle. But now Nomura, who serves as game director for "KH3" reveals that there are even more transformations to come. “In the trailer, we saw it transform into the shape of a gun, but there are also some other unbelievable transformations,” says Nomura.
