Many rumors of a destination wedding sparked when Kim Kardashian and Kanye West were spotted taking a private tour at the Palace of Versailles. People began speculating that the reality TV celeb and her rapper fiancé would tie the knot Marie-Antoinette style, and although they were wrong, they weren’t too far from the truth. It turns out, Kimye will be saying their I do’s this summer in Paris.
"He and I had never been there, so we just wanted a tour. And of course everyone thought we were picking that as our wedding place," Kim told Jimmy Kimmel in an interview. "We were just taking a tour. But we will be getting married this summer, hopefully in Paris." She then clarified, " When I said 'hopefully,' I didn't mean like 'hopefully getting married.' I meant 'hopefully just this summer.'"
The couple chose “The City of Lights” as their destination because is “like our second home. We spend so much time there. We have a second apartment there. We really love it." She added, "I'm not telling you where or the date, but I think it's kind of obvious that it's in Paris." Another big reveal is that Kim has decided to take Kanye’s last name.
This comes as a surprise since we all saw in her highly televised previous relationship that she vehemently refused to take her ex’s last name when they were together, but apparently all has changed now, and maybe this is a sign that Kanye is truly the one for her. "I'll probably be Kim Kardashian, move that to my middle name, West," she explained.
Another issue she talked about on Jimmy Kimmel Live! was her sister Khloe’s divorce from Lamar Odom and how many things became clear after they split. "For so long, everyone in our family was feeling really sad for Khloe thinking that she wasn't getting pregnant. And the whole time, she wasn't trying to and she was not showing up to these doctors appointments behind our back on purpose."
