Third time's the charm! Or at least we hope it is for Kim Kardashian, who just got engaged to rapper beau Kanye West after he proposed to his reality TV sweetheart with his usual over the top flair. Kanye is known for being very private with his personal life, but when it comes to Kim, he finds every way possible to let the world know how much he loves her, and this time around, he rented out the AT&T Park in San Francisco to celebrate Kim's 33rd birthday on Monday (Oct. 21) where he got down on one knee and popped the question.
To aide him with his proposal, he had a 15-carat Lorraine Schwartz ring and the Jumbotron displaying a sign saying "PLEEEASE MARRY MEEE!!!" And to add more romance to the proposal, he had a 50-piece orchestra playing Lana Del Rey's "Young and Beautiful," which is Kim's favorite song, followed by Keri Hilson, Ne-Yo and Kanye's "Knock You Down." Before planning the elaborate proposal, E! reports that Kanye, in traditional fashion, went over to Kris Jenner to ask for her blessing, and of course, she said yes. Also, it was reported that he was very nervous throughout the day. Just hours before he proposed to Kim, he was spotted leaving 99.7 NOW radio station looking "very serious" as he "made a beeline to his car."
The eyewitness told E! that he wasn't accompanied by an entourage and added that he was "polite," gave a friendly head nod to a passerby, and was wearing a "nice" suit. "The car wasn't a huge ostentatious stretch," said the source. "[It was] just an ordinary limo, maybe a town car." Well, Kanye doesn't need to be nervous no more, at least until it's his time to walk down the aisle, which he will be doing for the first time. As for Kim, it'll be her third wedding, but we're pretty sure it'll be like the first. However, there are no details about the wedding date, but we're sure there's no rush. In the February issue of "Cosmopolitan" Kim even said, "[Marriage] is something I know that we both want in our future, but I don't have this sense of urgency about it."
Now, let's get down to business. We know you're dying to see the picture of the ring. So, we're lucky that Kim's hairstylist Clyde Haygood was on hand to snap and share a pic of Kim flashing her new bling. "Guess what just happened!! #kimye" he captioned the picture on his Instagram account. And although he deleted it later, we managed to grab a screenshot of the ginormous ring. What do you think? Is it too big or is it the perfect size for Kim?
