Katy Perry just shared some never-before-heard details about Orlando Bloom’s proposal. The actor asked for the singer’s hand in marriage on Valentine’s Day.
During her interview with Capital Breakfast’s Roman Kemp, the “American Idol” judge said that she already felt that something special was about to go down on Valentine’s Day this year after seeing Bloom. The “Unconditionally” singer narrated that Bloom arrived at her home clean shaven, and he wasn’t also wearing his usual attire, which includes a pair of tennis shoes.
Perry couldn’t also help but notice how nervous her then boyfriend was acting after he treated her to dinner. After enjoying their sumptuous meal, Bloom took Perry on a helicopter trip to a building that was filled with flowers. Shortly after arriving at the building, the singer realized that all of her family members were there.
“He must have been so nervous — actually he was, he was going like this [takes deep breaths] — and I thought I was going somewhere and I wasn’t and then I got on a helicopter and he asked me to marry him,” Perry said.
“We landed on this building and then went downstairs and my family and friends were there and most flowers you have ever seen. It’s like, you know when Kanye [West] does that for Kim [Kardashian-West] and you’re like, ‘oh God?’ I was like, ‘Oh, my God!” she added.
The interviewer teased Perry for looking and acting as though she’s so in love with Bloom, and the singer couldn’t help but gush about her fiancé. She also declared that she loves Bloom very much, which is the reason why she said ‘yes’ to his proposal.
During a previous interview, Perry also dubbed Bloom as the love of her life. The couple previously dated years ago, but they decided to go their separate ways for a few years. They just recently got back together.
As of late, details about Perry and Bloom’s wedding date, location and more are still being kept under wraps. Perry’s dress designer and makeup artist for her wedding have not yet been named either.
