Katy Perry is being accused of sexual misconduct by her co-star. Actor-model, Josh Kloss claims that as they were doing the music video together for the hit single “Teenage Dream” in 2010, Perry exposed him at a roller-skating rink.
Kloss aired out his long-suppressed emotions on Instagram, where he also admitted to having a crush on Perry.
“It was Johny Wujek’s birthday party at moonlight roller way. And when I saw her, we hugged and she was still my crush,” he wrote. “But as I turned to introduce my friend, she pulled my Adidas sweats and underwear out as far as she could to show a couple of her guy friends and the crowd around us, my penis. Can you imagine how pathetic and embarrassed I felt?” He added.
Kloss described this time as the days when Perry just broke up with Russell Brand.
Even though he admires Perry, he could not help but detail another incident where Perry embarrassed him. In another music video they worked on together, he shared how Perry described kissing him as gross.
Probably knowing he would be asked why he is only revealing all of these now after years have passed, he said that the “Dark Horse” singer’s representatives have prevented him from speaking about it. He accused the reps of editing several interviews where he would speak of Perry publicly. Also, since he needed the job and the money, he opted to keep quiet.
He, however, could not keep silent anymore, because of the injustice he experienced as a male. “I just say this now because our culture is set on proving men of power are perverse,” Kloss wrote. “But females with power are just as disgusting.”
Kloss also described working on this music video was one of the most belittling and confusing experiences he had, even though he said her songs are certainly empowering to women.
It can be remembered that Kloss was Perry’s love interest in the “Teenage Dream” music video. As of now, Perry’s representatives are yet to comment.
This is not the first controversy that Katy Perry has been embroiled in. Recently, a jury concluded that Katy Perry’s “Dark Horse” was copied from another song — a Christian one.
The song, which contributed largely to her success as a music artist, was said to be a mere copy of a 2009 Christian rap song called “Joyful Noise,” or at least the beginning of the song and the beats.
