Kanye West might be focused on several other things post his official split from his wife Kim Kardashian. But insiders believe the rapper is still reeling under the shock of his divorce from the lady of his dreams, Kardashian. What’s more, West was snapped wearing his wedding ring on a recent surprise visit to DJ Khaled.
“TRUE STORY: KANYE STOPPED BY MY HOUSE AT 8 AM THE OTHER DAY! I DIDNT KNOW HE WAS COMING!” Khaled posted on on Wednesday, which sees the rapper’s eyes closed and hands raised to the sky while listening to the new album, Khaled Khaled. Netizens didn’t miss spotting the wedding band on the Yeezy designer’s left ring finger. The album drops on Friday.
“HE HAD @chefmelissazuniga make him SOME EGGS WITH KETCHUP AND VEGAN BACON And we listened to #KHALEDKHALED,” he added, stating, “You know when you get this expression that it’s sounding AMAZING! this album GODS HANDS IS ALL OVER IT __ Bless up @kanyewest @thelarryjackson.”
Khaled, who’s currently promoting his upcoming record, also teased his album’s cover art that features his young sons—Asahd, 4, and Aalam, 15-months— alongside him. He shares the boys with wife Nicole Tuck. His Instagram also featured two greyscale stories that came with the caption—"@Kanyewest came to listen to my album.
One story showed Kayne breaking into a beat while listening to the record while wearing sweatpants, a long-sleeved top, and socks. The second snapshot saw Khaled crooning away as the rapper sat back and smiled in the recording studio.
Kanye’s outing with Khaled comes two months after Kim Kardashian filed for divorce in February after seven years of marriage. They decided to split on amicable terms and will be co-parenting their four kids North, 7, Saint, 5, Chicago, 3, and Psalm, 23 months, together. Kanye and Kim have sought joint legal and physical custody of their four children.
While the break-up was inevitable owing to the growing differences between the couple, a source exclusively told US Weekly that Kanye was having a hard time moving on. “Kanye has been trying to throw himself into work the past few weeks, but it’s been hard to stay focused with the split weighing on him,” the insider said. “It has been especially tough even though he knew it was coming. He’s been distant and unresponsive as he processes everything that’s going on.”
