Critically-acclaimed rapper and songwriter Kanye West is under the firing line after unfollowing his estranged wife Kim Kardashian on Instagram amid cheating controversies during his marriage that he reportedly alluded to in one of his songs from "Donda."
Ye, 44, is now only following several accounts that all have blacked out icons just like the musician, raising more suspicions from Kimye fans that West may have finally admitted to cheating on the "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" star following the release of his 10th album.
In the album's fifth track “Hurricane,” the lyrics hinted at a possible strain in Kim and Kanye's past relationship after Kardashian, 40, gave birth to their son Saint in December 2015, according to the U.S. Magazine.
“Here I go actin’ too rich / Here I go with a new chick / And I know what the truth is / Still playin’ after two kids / It’s a lot to digest when your life always movin’,” West sings.
Despite attending Kanye's three "Donda" listening parties before its release, the Kardashians were reportedly shocked to learn about some of the lyrics from “Hurricane,” a source claims.
Meanwhile, another insider said that the make-up mogul had a heads up about the songs from Ye's latest album, including the controversial lyrics from "Hurricane."
“[Kim] wouldn’t be promoting something unless she knew all the lyrics. She wasn’t blindsided, but it is what it is," the source noted. "She’s known her whole marriage with Kanye that he’s an open book and there’s nothing she could ever do to stop him from saying whatever he wants."
Some reports also surfaced suggesting West had ultimately decided to use his music as “a testimony” to confess everything that went wrong during his marriage and that it is his move of taking accountability.
In late August 2021, West dropped his highly-anticipated album "Donda" after his late mother. The latest tracks have been praised by critics and fans for West's inventive and catchy lyrics.
It also sparked speculation that the songs are focused on his recent religious awakening or decision to go a step back and pay tribute to his roots as songs mirror the songwriter's real-life experience, according to the Showbiz CheatSheet.
West had rented the Mercedes Benz Stadium during the writing process of his latest tracks to avoid any distraction, reportedly paying $1 million per day at the Atlanta Falcons and MLS Atlanta United's official home ground.
Kanye and Kim, who share four lovely kids North, 8, Saint, 5, Chicago, 3, and Psalm, 2, broke up in early 2021 after Kardashian filed for divorce in February.
