José José has finally broken his silence on his health after much speculation and confirmed he is battling pancreatic cancer. "There is a cancerous tumor that is growing in my pancreas, that is why I am so thin," he told Primera Hora. "The doctors have told me that we are in good time to combat the cancer that is why we have started the first sessions of chemotherapy. I am coming and going from the hospital. I am calm, it is not the first time that I have had to face a disease in my lifetime, there have been many tests and God has always helped me. This will not be the exception, everything is going to be fine." See the singer explain his condition in the video down below!
When the first rumors of El Príncipe De La Canción having a tumor broke, daughter Marisol slammed the reports. "Everything is in order, they are checking him from head to toe, like every year," she said to Radio Fórmula. "Thank God, everything is ok and he has been feeling well." She went on to add about a possible tumor: "There has been none of that, my father didn't mention anything like that yesterday. To the contrary, he tells me he's well and they have found nothing wrong and he hasn't been feeling bad."
Meanwhile, Telemundo took advantage of the singer making the news to announced they were working on a series about his life. "Nace Un Idolo" is the serialized biography based on the real-life story of José Sosa Ortiz, better known as José José, a Mexican musical icon adored by millions around the world. His story embodies a man’s journey to reach the status of an idol – including fame and fortune – and the high price he had to pay to achieve his dreams. The series highlights the passion and excitement that a superstar artist feels for his craft and the adoration of his fans. It also displays the frailty of the man coping with his addiction and its damaging effects. This is a story of hope and new beginnings and the success to regain all that he almost lost—his family, his voice, his life. “Nace un Ídolo” is a production for Telemundo Studios.
