Johnny Lozada Fired From 'Despierta América'? Univision Host Missing From Morning Show

Johnny Lozada has been a staple on "Despierta América" for years and fueling the morning show with his humor and lively personality. Viewers have been deprived from his presence this week and it has ignited rumors that Lozada was fired from the Univision program.

The last time the former Menudo band member was seen on the show was on Friday, December 30. During that episode there was no message that he was leaving or mention of any future plans. According to People En Español, there was no goodbye because “his absence is temporary.” The site also mentions that Raúl González was rumored to take Lozada’s place, but they have confirmed with his reps that he continues to work for Telemundo.

There’s no word yet on when the morning presenter will return to “Despierta América,” but judging from his social media he is enjoying time off in the snow with his family.
