Jane is married. Jane has a baby. But Jane has never had sex! With a highly anticipated season three around the corner, "Jane the Virgin" creator gives the scoop on what to expect in the new season of the popular CW series.
The big question on everyone's mind is if Jane Gloriana Villanueva (Gina Rodriguez) will finally lose her virginity! According to series creator and showrunner Jennie Synder Urman, "Yes, yes, yes -- it's happening!" Jane will "lose her virginity this year for sure."
At the recent ATX TV Festival in Austin, Texas, Synder Urman revealed that Jane will finally lose her virginity but she has yet to figure out how the "magic" will happen.
"I don’t have an image and I don’t yet know what it will look like," she said of the most-waited-for scene, according to Entertainment Tonight. "There's a lot of pressure on that moment and I haven't drilled down -- so to speak -- on what will happen. I have a lot of different ideas on what that will be, and how big to make it, and how many complications and so forth, so I'm excited about that, but also nervous because I want to execute it well."
As for the show's title, will it change after Jane has sex for the first time? Synder Urman said it might have a new twist. "We'll cross out 'the Virgin' and then we'll continue on. I think it will always say Jane the Virgin and then we'll just cross it off each time."
This is not the first spoiler Synder Urman shared, she also revealed that Rogelio de la Vega's (Jaime Camil) telenovela "The Passion of Santos" will have a few changes on the forthcoming season.
“One thing I’m excited to do this year is that at a certain point Rogelio’s telenovela will end and they will be trying to adapt 'The Passions Of Santos' into an American show called 'The Passions Of Steve' and Rogelio is going to be fighting for his part in it,” Snyder Urman exclusively told Deadline. “That’s a storyline I’m really excited to get into, talk about the crossover and what does that mean.”
