Bruno Mars
Bruno Mars appeared on the "Jane the Virgin" season finale and presented a new song! The CW/ Jane the Virgin

The last we heard of Bruno Mars was earlier this year at the 2016 Super Bowl halftime show, where he nailed his performance with Coldplay and Beyonce. Before that, he was making the rounds with Mark Ronson's "Uptown Funk" as a featured artist. The smash hit single even garnered Mars his fourth Grammy win after nabbing Best Pop Solo Collaboration and Record of the Year at the 2016 awards show. It has been four years since Mars last released a studio album and the pop singer rarely uses social media. In other words, we miss him!

Mars, however, might have hinted at a possible comeback when he appeared on the season two finale of "Jane the Virgin." The pop star of Puerto Rican descent was invited on the show to perform at Gina Rodriguez's fake TV wedding. On the show, Mars represented one of Rogelio de la Vegas' (Jaime Camil) best friends.

"When your TV dads third best friend in the world sings at your fake wedding," expressed the Golden Globe-winning actress on Instagram. "Thank you to my beautiful peeps for coming through and joining the #JaneTheVirgin family!" she added. She also shared her excitement on Twitter. "Thank you to my beautiful friends @BrunoMars and @JessicaCaban for coming to our wedding lol."

According to Latina, Mars sang his new single "Rest Of My Life," which he "wrote a couple of years ago but wasn't able to put it anywhere until he appeared on the special episode of the hit CW series." We wonder if this romantic ballad marks the beginning of a new studio album for the Grammy-winning singer.

Despite its sweet and emotional season finale, "Jane the Virgin" will return for Season 3.

In March, the CW announced that it was renewing the dramedy series for a third season for the 2016-17 season. Following the great news, the Puerto Rican actress and Mexican actor Camil, who portrays Rogelio de la Vega in the show, shared a nine-second dubmash with their followers on Twitter, which shows the two jamming out to Pharrell's contagious song, "Happy".

The network also renewed the following shows for the 2016-17 season: "The 100," "The Flash," "Arrow," "DC’s Legends of Tomorrow," "The Originals," "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend," "iZombie," "Reign," "Supernatural" and "The Vampire Diaries."
