While there certainly are numerous television programs avid viewers can choose from on a nightly basis, CBS's brand new suspense drama 'Hostages' has become one of the most popular shows on TV. Thanks to a star-studded cast that includes Dylan McDermott ('The Practice'), Toni Collette ('United States of Tara'), Tate Donovan ('The OC,' 'Damages') and James Naughton ('Gossip Girl,' 'The Devil Wears Prada'), the new program has enjoyed a high level of success and with the show only at the midway point of its inaugural season, fans of 'Hostages' can surely be excited about the action and storylines the remaining Season 1 episodes will bring.

As the series heads into its eighth episode, followers of the 2013 drama shouldn't struggle to find an entertainment value with the upcoming show. Entitled 'The Good Reason,' Episode 8 of Season 1 will be a major key in determining how far Dr. Ellen Sanders (Collette) will go in order to protect her family. Those who have been following the show from the beginning know that FBI Special Agent Duncan Carlisle (McDermott) and his team of rogue FBI agents took the family of Dr. Sanders hostage and per their orders, the only way the family will be saved is if Dr. Sanders takes the life of the President of the United States during surgery.

What followers of the show hope to uncover heading into the upcoming episode will be whether or not Dr. Sanders decides to use Agent Carlisle's sick wife as collateral for saving her family. 'The Good Reason' may also delve into the releasing of important information surrounding 'Operation Total Information,' a government program based around the act of intelligence agencies spying on citizens of the United States. As the show progresses through Season 1, the story surrounding when and if the President will release vital info regarding the operation will certainly create widespread intrigue.
