A recording of a man vandalizing a Tesla in Dallas is going viral amid increasing attacks on Tesla vehicles and dealerships.

"This was fun to come home to," Jeff Nguyen wrote Sunday on Facebook, where the video was originally shared. Parked at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport, the Tesla camera captured a bearded man in a checked button up rolling his luggage through the lot. When he passes between a truck and Nguyen's Tesla, he inconspicuously holds a key in one hand, dragging it across the side of the electric car.

Soon the video was making its rounds online, with calls to identify the vandal. So far, he remains unidentified, but on X, the social media platform owned by Tesla CEO Elon Musk, users are eager to end what some are calling "terrorist acts" aimed at Tesla.

The act of vandalism comes amid ongoing politically motivated attacks on Tesla dealerships and cars, performed largely in protest of Musk's actions as head of the controversial Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). As Tesla stocks plummet, President Donald Trump has rushed to Musk's aid, making a public display of purchasing his own Tesla.

The White House has referred to the "heinous acts of violence" against Tesla as "domestic terrorism," with US Attorney General Pam Bondi announcing the administration's intention to aggressively prosecute crimes targeting Musk's company.

"If you're gonna touch a Tesla, go to a dealership, do anything, you better watch out, because we're coming after you," Bondi warned.

All Teslas come equipped with cameras that monitor the vehicle's perimeter and interior. When parked, the vehicle can be programmed to record nearby movement. The footage can be viewed from anywhere with a wifi connection, enabling long-distance security and making crimes targeting Teslas difficult to get away it.
