The Christmas season is the best time to year to spend with family, and friends, in front of a warm fire crowded around a TV! You know we are right, the best part of the holiday season is all of the Christmas themed TV shows and classic Christmas movies. People love them so much they normally begin around Thanksgiving, however, we prefer to give Turkey Day its own holiday, and we are suckers for "March of the Wooden Soldiers" which is a serious tradition in my house. We have been holding out to partake in the Santa themed stories, but December has officially arrived and we are only a few weeks away to the big day. Let's not forgot that we have also finished the last of our Thanksgiving leftovers, meaning we are ready for Santa, Jingle Bells and of course Christmas movies. For 2013, your favorite TV shows will also be hosting an array of Holiday themed episodes that will mostly begin next week and provide fans encore presentations during the week of December 25th. All of your favorite Christmas movies will begin to play, I normally just keep ABC Family's "25 Days of Christmas" on round the clock! Don't forget to keep up with the classics, namely the animated version of "Dr. Seuss' The Grinch Who Stole Christmas."
But this year's Christmas TV schedule will also be including some new and exciting specials, like "The Great Christmas Light Fight" on ABC! The new show is TV's first Christmas lights competition with four families competing each week. Whatever you choose to watch this Holiday season, make sure you remember what is important about Christmas time. To eat until you can't leave the couch, Christmas is a couch potatoes dram, not only is there specific holiday programming to put us in the yuletide mood, it is the only time when it is socially acceptable to simultaneously eat cookies, and ham and drink eggnog, right?
