Fans must have wondered why episode 20 of “Hawaii Five-0” Season 9 did not show up on its usual Friday schedule. But fans should not worry. The next episode will definitely air, but the waiting period between episodes 19 and 20 is a bit longer than usual. Meanwhile, enjoy a few spoilers for the upcoming installment.
Episode 20, which is titled “Ke Ala O Ka P ū” or “Way Of The Gun,” will surprisingly focus on a single gun. A single firearm might seem pretty uninteresting at first glance, but the shocking part is that the gun has links to several of the show’s characters at some point in their lives.
It was Steve’s father who first came into contact with the weapon, back in the days when he was still a child. Then Danny comes next and will have some kind of link to the firearm on his first day on the force. Finally, it was also revealed that Tani will have a connection with the gun prior to becoming a police officer.
Unfortunately, “Hawaii Five-0” spoilers did not give too many details and stopped at this point. It is unknown just what kind of connection these characters had with the gun. What fans can expect, though, is that there are likely many flashbacks throughout episode 20 to show just how they are linked to the firearm.
“Five-0 must locate a teen girl who purchased a gun from a junkie, and discover that the firearm, over the course of decades, has affected all of their lives,” reads the brief synopsis of “Ke Ala O Ka Pū.” It seems that fans can also expect some sense of urgency throughout the episode, a need to intercept the teenager and prevent her from doing what she planned to do with the gun.
Meanwhile, fans who are wondering why the gap between the two episodes is longer than usual should blame college basketball instead. It’s that time of year where CBS puts some of its shows on hold in favor of showing some games.
This time, it booked two Fridays for basketball. This means that affected shows like “MacGyver,” “Blue Bloods” and “Hawaii Five-0” won’t be back until April 5.
