Rumors have been circling the Internet that Lindsay Lohan will be suing Rockstar Games. It seems the actress is taking legal action against the gaming company for the use of her image without her permission. According to TMZ, anonymous sources have revealed that Lohan wants compensation for the unapproved use of her likeness in the hit-game "Grand Theft Auto V." There are apparently three pieces of evidence. First, a mission in "GTA 5" tasks the player with getting a young actress Lacey Jones away from the paparazzi. Lohan believes Lacey's character has been designed to resemble her, according to TMZ and the mission at hand is making fun of Lohan's run-ins with the paparazzi in the past.
The second piece of evidence is another mission that sees the player photographing an actress with red hair in what is probably a fictional version of the Chateau Marmont Hotel in West Hollywood. We all know Lohan is a natural red head and has in the past lived at the Chateau and still frequents. The final piece of evidence is a popular piece of artwork for "GTA V" that shows a woman holding an iFruit phone that supposedly resembles Lohan. Although the picture has been widely debated to be model Kate Upton. As of now this is still a rumor as Lindsay Lohan nor Rockstar has actually commented about the lawsuit.
This isn't the first time a celebrity has taken action against Rockstar for using their property or image in their hit-games without permission. When the game launched Daz Dillinger demanded Rockstar recall their games for stealing his music. The rapper and his attorney both claimed that two of Dillinger's hit songs, "C-Walk" and "Nothin But the Cavi Hit," were using in "Grand Theft Auto V" without his permission. It was reported by TMZ that Dillinger was offered $4,271 by Rockstar for use of the songs, but he declined the offer and the gaming company used them anyway. We will keep you updated on this story as more develops but again take this as a rumor for now until Lohan or Rockstar speak out against the situation.
