#BTSOnFallon has been trending, and for good reasons! The combo is always a house on fire and there are no two ways about it! Earlier this week, BTS fans were clearly in for a treat as the uber-famous K-pop boy band was all set to grace Jimmy Fallon’s show yet again on July 13.
And, quite like what was expected, the members of the South Korean boy band won hearts with their candid disclosures at "The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon," and dropped a truth bomb or two, much to the delight of their fans.
In one such segment of the show, Fallon quizzed V—also known as Kim Taehyung—to clear speculations about whether he had indeed attended the BTS audition solely for a friend who aspired to be a part of the group, as reported by E!News. While it’s known that V’s entry had a lot to do with serendipity, Fallon prodded the member to hear the truth from his mouth.
And, V was crystal clear in his response. “True Yes,” he said, to which Fallon further asked what happened to his pal post the auditions. Then came along yet another truth bomb—“He failed” sans any frills.
The hilarity was compounded as the response translated to “he failed” in English. That’s not all, the K-pop icon himself added, “Only me”. Strangely enough, the big reveal didn’t stop at just that. RM revealed that V sleeps with his eyes open. The band also revealed how they were yet to meet Ed Sheeran in person, about ARMY not being the first choice of name for their fan base but Bell, and how they’re grateful that it eventually was zeroed in on.
V’s unadulterated honesty was lauded by fans on Twitter, with a volley of users appreciating him for being effortlessly funny.
The chat show turned out to be a worthwhile watch as the members also divulged juicy details about their personal likes and quirks. From revealing how Jin/Kim Seokjin is the “hyung” of the gang, who loves to whip up a storm in the kitchen and treat others, to Min Yoongi’s love for rapping and more so with Eminem, the show exuded an unbridled vibe that had fans smiling all through!
