A new "Grand Theft Auto V" story mode DLC is on the horizon, according to Rockstar Games. The company teased during their "Beach Bum" Pack release date reveal that the popular title would soon see more updates. "This is just the first of many new content updates we're working on for Grand Theft Auto Online in the weeks and months ahead. Please stay tuned here at the Newswire for word on the forthcoming Content Creator, full on cooperative Heists, and GTA Online's take on Capture the Flag - plus info on some exciting new Story Mode updates as well. We'll have new info to share on all of this very soon."
As to what that DLC may be is anyone's guess at this point but gaming sites all over the web have been buzzing with some interesting speculations since the announcement. One in particular from iDigitaltimes which reports that the upcoming DLC for "GTA V" may be a Casino Heist. According to iDigitaltimes, the concept of a casino heist comes from an abandoned casino in Vinewood Park; which can be accessed in the game. On the front of the Casino the sign says opening soon, which can indicate that the game will be getting a casino seeing how there is a lack of them in Los Santos.
It seems the idea of a heist idea is popular in many different forums as well. The IGN "GTA V" DLC forum board is full of gamers excited about the idea of more heist type missions. -PF-Shack writes, "I'd be happy with a pack of heist missions. Maybe some prison break scenario... maybe a prequel where you run and setup Trevor's meth empire." While another user, Awarry, writes, "i doubt we will see extra land... that would be great.. .just doubt it, more Heists would be great.... a big Casino Heist would be awesome (yes there is a casino in LS). Something involving the prison would be sweet as well..."
As of now it is best to take these rumors with a grain of salt until Rockstar actually announces more on what the upcoming DLC will be. What form do you think Rockstar will bring the new DLC in for "GTA V?"
