Grammy Nominations 2017: Jesse & Joy, Laura Pausini, Diego Torres Among Latinos Who Scored Nods

The nominations are in! The Grammy Awards 2017 will take place next year, but there's a lot of excitement since everyone seems to agree with the Latinos nominated this year. Jesse & Joy, Grupo Niche, Gaby Moreno, Banda El Recodo De Cruz Lizárraga, Laura Pausini, Sanalejo and Diego Torres, are some of the Latin nominees for categories such as Best Latin Pop Album, Best Latin Rock, Urban or Alternative Album, Best Regional Mexican Music Album and Best Tropical Album.

The Awards also recognize Best Latin Jazz Album, this year including: “Entre Colegas” by Andy González, “30” by Trio Da Paz, and “Tribute To Irakere: Live in Marciac” by Chucho Valdes.

Last year's Grammys list of nominees included Ricky Martin, Pablo Alborán, Alejandro Sanz, Pitbull, Bomba Estéreo, Los Tigres del Norte, La Banda El Recodo De Don Cruz Lizárraga, Ruben Blades and more. The Latino presence on the aired show leaned on Pitbull's powerful performance featuring Robin Thicke and of course Lin-Manuel Miranda and the cast of “Hamilton” winning Best Musical Theater Album.

The 59th Annual Grammy Awards ceremony will be held on February 12, 2017 in Los Angeles, hosted by James Corden.
