Giselle Blondet is making her way to Telemundo as host of "Gran Hermano US." The former "Nuestra Belleza Latina" presenter will helm the reality show that sets up complete strangers in a house completely cut off from the outside world for 13 weeks. Taking the challenge and beating the odds will grant the winner $250,000. Blondet is a big acquisition for the Hispanic network as she is one of the most beloved personalities. Latinos have followed Giselle since her days on the morning show "Despierta América" and the multiple special red carpet events for the network. She was last seen a week ago on Univision hosting TeletonUSA.
As the host of "Gran Hermano US," Blondet will be the only point of contact for the housemates that are in the "Big Brother" house. A charismatic and seasoned presenter was needed and Giselle is the perfect fit for the job. The location of the home to be used is rumored to be the same one that is inside the Televisa Santa Fe studios in México City, which is currently being used for the "Big Brother PM" edition that is ending this week. The house is bugged with microphones and cameras that will see the contestants every move will undoubtedly have to undergo a revamp just in time for the premiere which is set for Sunday, January 10 at 8pm/7c.
“We are pleased to add yet another truly global hit franchise to Telemundo’s reality lineup,” said Luis Silberwasser, president, Telemundo, earlier this year. “Our viewers are passionate and engaged with reality entertainment programming, and with 'Gran Hermano' our partners at Endemol Shine North America have provided us with an addictive new series whose cast will fully represent the changing face of America."
