As the 2012 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance weekend draws closer, BMW has unveiled the first teaser image of its latest design study, once again collaborating with the iconic high-profile design house Zagato.
Although the photo is deliberately dark and mysterious, the design clearly shows the profile of a shapely, low slung, convertible coupe, suggesting that the design study will be based on none other than the bones of a production Z4 hardtop convertible.
BMW had already unveiled the BMW Zagato Coupe Concept at the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este back in May, so the latest project from BMW and Zagato is likely to simply be the roadster variant of a similar theme.
