The news regarding Square Enix's "Final Fantasy XV" has been very scarce lately and the fact that the title was noticeably absent from E3 2014 only worries fans of the franchise that much more. Well no need to be worried it seems that some of the game details have been revealed by execs and the games producers and they are asking fans to be a bit more patient.
Recent reports say Square Enix CEO Yosuke Matsuda stated the game is made with Direct X 11 tools and hopes to install the new software details in hopes of making the game look better. Yasuke said, "We haven't decided when, but we're currently preparing new information that may meet everyone's expectations. Please wait for a little while longer."
Meanwhile it appears that the title will not be making it to the PC platform. According to reports from Attack of the Fanboy, Daniel Sims claimed via Twitter that Square Enix will not have a PC version of "Final Fantasy XV." In his tweet Sims responds to a questions writing, "@ForgetAmnesia Square Enix has started the same trend. FFXV and KHIII are all being developed “on DirectX 11,” but no PC versions so far."
As many fans might have noticed both Square Enix titles "Final Fantasy XV" and "Kingdom Hearts III" were missing at E3 2014. Game producer Shinji Hashimoto spoke about FFXV's absent saying "First I'd like to say that development for FFXV is going well. Internally, we try to ascertain the best timing for revealing new information about FFXV to the fans. So when we were going over our promotion plans, we judged that this year's E3 would not be the best time to exhibit information about FFXV."
Furthermore, early this year Breathe Cast website reported that Hashimoto revealed the title won't be available to gamers until March 2015 but now it appears that has changed to mid-late 2015. Not a specific release date and barely a launch window but at least it's something. Gear Nuke revealed that Senior Research Analyst for Square Enix, David Gibson, said since Square Enix is expecting lower game sales compared to last year, this could imply that FFXV won't be released for this fiscal year ending March 2015.
