The New York Post reported Edward Norton, 43, was walking along 57th street on Tuesday when a man brandishing his phone camera approached him.

The photographer, Alain Becerra-Calderon, began to film the actor and a dispute escalated between the two. Becerra-Calderon reportedly asked the actor if the two had a resemblance.

"I got a quick question: 'People say you look like me. Is that true?'" Becerra-Calderon asked Norton, The New York Post Reported.

Norton reacted angrily, asking "Why are you stalking me?" before shoving the paparazzo's camera out of his face.

Becerra-Calderon, who posts videos online under the name Alain Bin Naim, then complained to cops that he was attacked.

"He went to the hospital claiming hand pain.... It was classified as harassment," an NYPD spokesperson told E! News.

A doctor who says Becerra-Calderon insisted he get a splint told him he suffered a "tissue contusion" in his middle finger. Becerra-Calderon described his fight with Edward Norton as "very, very scary."

"I asked if I could ask a question, and he grabbed my phone," the photographer said, "[Norton] needs to learn to control his temper."

Police investigators have already ruled out criminal charges for Norton, citing a lack of witnesses to the altercation. As for any possible legal action against the 43-year-old actor, Becerra-Calderon says, "I'm discussing that with my attorney." In the meantime, he seems to be enjoying his newly found fame, as he keeps tweeting links to stories about the scuffle.

None of Norton's representatives have commented on the scuffle as of this writing.
