In the early 1970's, Richard Ledellaytner got himself a 1969 Norton Commando after his brother couldn't afford to pay back his debt and gave him the motorcyle instead.
After two decades of summer joy, the Commando finally broke down on the side of the road. Like any proper Norton owner, Richard was determined to restore it. Like any normal human being, Richard never found the time. With parts stored in several boxes and the frame sitting on the basement floor, the Norton was abandoned, collecting dust for the next ten years.
By 2009, Ledellaytner's two sons, Jeff and Jason, are all grown up and are starting lives of their own. Thanking their father for raising them well, Jeff and Jason have decided to steal their father's Norton Commando... and restore it.
With great effort for Jeff, Jason, the Classic Bike Experience in Vermont, and their father's old friend in New Hampshire, the Norton Commando was finally restored and stored only days before Christmas.
On Christmas morning, the Norton Project became one of the greatest stories ever told and Richard Ledellaytner became the happiest and proudest dad in Earth.
