Good news DBZ fans, FUNimation Entertainment has revealed that the latest installment to the "Dragon Ball Z" franchise, "Resurrection F" will make its way to the west by the end of the summer. The company announced "Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection F" will arrive in U.S.. theaters Aug. 4, 2015.
"Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection 'F'" is the nineteenth Japanese animated feature film based on the "Dragon Ball" series and the fifteenth to carry the "Dragon Ball Z" branding. The movie depicts the return of the villain Frieza, as well as the God of Destruction Beerus and Whis from "Battle of Gods."
Tickets will go on sale Friday, June 26, 2015. Fans are invited to sign up at www.dragonballz.com to be alerted about any news regarding the franchise. Subscribers can also look forward to receiving exclusive offers, sneak peeks, and other news about the film.
Meanwhile, a 20th Anniversary of the franchise will be celebrated, which is where "Resurrection 'F'" will premiere in the U.S.. during the 2015 Anime Expo at Regal LA Live, then will be followed by the limited theatrical release in August. Actors Seán Schemmel and Christopher R. Sabat, starring in the roles of Goku and Vegeta respectively, will be attending the premiere, which will also feature a red carpet event prior to the screening. Schemmel and Sabat are reprising their roles from last year’s highly-successful “Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods.”
