Demi Lovato seems to have found true and fulfilling love in the arms of new beau Austin Wilson. While rumors of the two getting up, close and personal have been doing the rounds, it wasn’t until recently that they were photographed together in public.
The couple didn’t seem to shy away from the paparazzi during a leisurely stroll in Los Angeles on Sunday. A visibly smitten Lovato was glowing out of love, as Wilson wrapped his arms around her. She loving looked at him— as they walked down a street in the Hollywood hills. The couple was on a hike, carried bottles with them, and held hands too. The two coordinated their workout outfits. The “Sorry Not Sorry” singer donned a pair of snazzy leggings with a Nirvana T-shirt and threw over a baseball cap. Wilson matched his choice of outfits with his girlfriend’s by sporting a baseball cap along with sweatpants and a Metallica T-shirt.
Lovato, 27, and Wilson, 25, decided to keep their romance low for a while. Until they officiated their relationship through PDA filled pictures on Instagram. Lovato has had a rough past—her battles with drug abuse and addiction are not new. Turns out, even Wilson has a history of substance abuse. But, these details seem to be things of the past as the young lovebirds seem to have started anew. Lovato met Wilson through mutual friends who’re apparently all sober and sorted in life. The point to note is, the two seem really happy around each other. “Demi loves that they share the same values and are on the same page about their health and wellbeing,” the source said. “Demi thinks he is a good influence and a positive light to be around,” the source added.
What drew the two to each other was the fact that Lovato and Wilson were both struggling in their lives in regards to their health and well-being. Lovato finds Wilson to be really empathetic of her struggles and past and understands the singer’s journey well. While the romance is relatively new, the two were really good friends. The two also understand the need for intimacy and are spending more time with each other before taking things to the next level.
