Kanye West Paid Kim Kardashian $1 Million To Not Work With Rival

Kanye West and Kim Kardashian are married, but they each have their careers from which they draw their income. The rapper recently paid his wife $1 million to stop her from working for a rival fashion company.

Speaking at the New York Times DealBook Conference, Kardashian revealed she was recently approached by a fast fashion company that offered her a million dollars for an Instagram post. The reality TV star initially thought it was easy money because she was allowed to choose the outfit she wanted for the post. The only problem was the company is copying the products her husband West was making.

The fast-growing fashion company is apparently copying West’s Yeezy products from the design to the colors. The rapper was understandably not comfortable with his wife promoting the rival company, and he made this clear to her. Kardashian too agreed with her husband and dropped the offer.

Later, on Mother’s Day, West gave his wife a check for a million dollars, along with a thank you note for turning down the rival company’s offer. Kardashian shared the story in order to tell people that there is power in saying no.

Kardashian also joked about how she could get anything she wanted because of her social media influence. She said that if she wrote online that she loves Oreos, she would get all flavors of Oreos land at her doorstep soon. So, she doesn’t need paid posts in order to benefit from her social media presence.

Meanwhile, Kardashian is in the news for her new look that she wore for the WSJ Magazine 2019 Innovator Awards in New York City, E! News reported. She wore a denim top with puffed sleeves and skin-tight jeans. She finished the look with a blue latex thigh-high boots.
