Manchester United player Cristiano Ronaldo and girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez took to social media on Thursday. They shared a video showing their four children popping the balloons with confetti inside for a cute gender reveal confirmation.
The kids, 4-year-old twins, Eva Maria and Mateo, 4-year-old daughter Alana Martina, and 11-year-old son Cristiano Jr. held onto two black balloons, and on the count of three, they popped them. Pink confetti flew to the floor from one, while blue confetti from the other balloon filled out the ground. This means that Ronaldo and Rodriguez are expecting a boy and a girl.
The legendary striker and his partner captioned the video, "Where life begins and love never ends #blessed," adding heart emoticons. The video has now reached almost 15 million views and about 50,000 comments. Ronaldo and Rodriguez also shared the touching post to their own Instagram story.
Ronaldo and Rodriguez first announced they were expecting twins back in October. The Portuguese star shared a heartwarming photo on Instagram showing him and Rodriguez lying in bed while holding two sonogram photos, flaunting it to the camera. Ronaldo captioned it with, "Delighted to announce we are expecting twins. Our hearts are full of love - we can't wait to meet you."
Fans rushed to give congratulatory messages and comments, showing their support for the couple. The post has now reached almost 33 million likes and 500,000 comments. Everyone is just as excited as the family.
Five-time Ballon d'Or winner Ronaldo met Rodriguez while she was working as a sales assistant in a Gucci store. Rodriguez came from the Spanish village of Jaca, born to her Argentine former footballer father, Jorge, and Spanish mother, Ana. Before meeting Ronaldo, she spent time in England, going to places like Bristol and Bath before returning to Spain and working in high-end retail.
Ronaldo first joined Juventus in 2018 in a trade with Real Madrid. In August, Manchester United announced the team reached a deal with Juventus F.C., leading to the athlete's return to the English team. Ronaldo previously played with Manchester United for six years, from 2003 to 2009. He won three league titles and one Champions League. Then, he played for nine years for Real Madrid from 2009 to 2018.
