Argentine artist Cazzu has strongly refuted Ángela Aguilar's version of events surrounding her split from Christian Nodal, her ex-partner and father of their daughter, Inti.
Ángela, now Nodal's wife, had claimed in an ABC interview, "All I can say is that everyone involved is together and united; we're all on the same page."
Cazzu, who had previously remained silent, explained in an interview, "It was a very public and complicated split that felt like a parallel universe. I stayed silent because I felt it was the right thing to do." She clarified her decision to speak out now, stating, "My integrity as a person was being questioned."
Directly addressing Ángela's statement that "no one's heart was broken, and we have a clear conscience," Cazzu revealed she felt compelled to correct the notion that she knew of Ángela and Nodal's relationship beforehand.
Cazzu's Truth About Her Split from Nodal
"Recently, it was said that I was fully aware of the relationship between these two people from the start. It was also said that I was somehow involved in some sort of plan which I feel is necessary to refute that entirely and say that it's a lie," Inti's mother asserted.
Reflecting on the impact of this narrative that was spun by Aguilar, Cazzu added, "I think that what gives these words gravity here is that these words come from one of the main people involved. It would be different if it came from the press where people say whatever. A lot of falsehoods have been said, and they've hurt my family deeply, which I've endured in silence. What the public sees as silence was really a time of personal reconstruction."
"From one day to the next, my life changed unexpectedly," she continued. "While a lot was happening, I kept quiet. In that silence, I was moving, setting up a home, working, and focusing on motherhood."
Cazzu's words confirm the public suspicions that she was taken by surprise by Nodal's romance with Ángela, aligning with the popular sentiment: "a fan of her own relationship."
