A few hours after Cazzu broke her silence on her separation from Christian Nodal, the Mexican regional music artist went live on Instagram.
For almost half an hour, Nodal discussed why his relationship with the mother of his only daughter, Inti, ended, firmly stating that he had not been unfaithful, nor was his wife, Ángela Aguilar, ever his lover.
Speaking from a high-rise apartment surrounded by suitcases as he prepared for a concert in Miami, Nodal confirmed that he was the one who ended his nearly two-year romance with Cazzu. "I told her, I fell out of love."
Cazzu's Response
The Argentine artist gave an interview on an Argentine YouTube channel, addressing comments made by Ángela about her relationship with Nodal. The Mexican-American artist implied that she and her current husband had been in a relationship for several months and that Cazzu was aware of it.
"It's a lie," said Cazzu, adding that Ángela's statements made her wonder when Nodal and Aguilar's relationship actually began. "When I was pregnant? Right after I gave birth?" she questioned. Ángela also stated, "No one's heart was broken," which prompted Cazzu to respond, "A heart was broken. Several hearts were broken. Many things were broken."
Nodal's Reaction
Nodal apparently learned about this through social media and called Cazzu. He reportedly asked her:
"At what point was I with my wife as a lover while I was still with her? She says no, that she saw an interview and that Ángela said this and that. From what I understand, because I don't want to speak for anyone but myself, we ended things on good terms. We agreed to disagree. We're on the same page—that the love is over. I was never with anyone else while I was with Julieta!" he emphasized.
"I informed her. Not specifically that I was with Ángela or anything like that. We had already broken up, and I told her, 'Hey Julieta, we should issue a statement because I'm going to start seeing someone publicly, and I don't want things to get messy.' And that's how it all happened. You all know the story, more or less," he added.
"My wife was never my lover. There was never a third person or even a conversation. The only time we spoke was to invite her to the Foro Sol," he insisted, reiterating multiple times that he was never unfaithful. "I would never walk around proud of something like that. I, as a man, would never do that. It makes me very sad, angry, and uncomfortable to be in this position again, but it's the reality. I was never unfaithful. There was never a third person."
He also added, "Ángela and I love each other. We decided to get married. We wanted to be together. I don't know what else to add."
Lastly, he mentioned that he wasn't seeing his daughter often because he was "working hard to build a future."
