Carlos Vives is currently on tour and boy, are we happy! The Colombian singer is making the rounds around the world with a tour he likes to call "La Fiesta de Todos." Latin Times attended the concert Vives hosted in his home-away-from-home on Friday, May 6 in Miami, Fla. and we couldn't help but notice that the singer is absolutely right: his show is indeed a party for everyone!
As Vives continues his tour from mid-June to early-September, where he will visit Latin America, Europe, and return to the United States, we leave you with all the reasons you need to catch Carlos live in action!
1) Colombia Power everywhere! We can't deny that Vives is one proud Colombia; in fact, everything from his musicians to the visuals to his wardrobe screams COLOMBIA!
2) Expect surprise guests! While in Miami, Carlos Vives was joined on stage by a wave of artists, including Maluma, Wisin, and Chocquibtown.
3) Heartwarming family moments! Vives also invited on stage his young daughter Elena to sing "La foto de los dos" in front of the sold-out event at the American Airline Arenas.
4) His musicians are all the rage! We just love the chemistry Vives has on stage with his musicians. Especially with all-time band members and buddies Egidio Cuadrado (accordionist) and Mayte Montero (gaita player).
5) No daisy dukes, no problem! Yes, we miss the days when Carlos Vives would flaunt the bandana, jean shorts, and sleeveless plaid shirts, but this 54-year-old has still got it on and his energy is one-of-a-kind!
6) Music for a good cause! $2 of each ticket purchased goes to "Tras la perla de la America," an initiative to help the development of neighborhoods in Santa Marta (Vives hometown).
7) It's a fiesta for everyone! With songs such as "Fruta Fresca," "Tierra del Olvido," "La Gota Gorda" and "Carito," it's IMPOSSIBLE to sit down at a Carlos Vives show.
With no more to say, here are the next Carlos Vives concerts! Grab your friends, make it a date, and dance the night away!
