Brandi Passante and Jarod Schulz may be the stars of A&E’s hugely popular series “Storage Wars,” but the couple has been adamant in protecting their private lives, until now that is. The pair who are considered the “Young Guns” of the reality competition series rose to fame when the network premiered “Storage Wars” in December of 2010 and despite the growing number of fans and fame, they have managed to maintain their privacy and life out of the public eye. It seems like Brandi and Jarrod have had a change of heart when it comes to their relationship because A&E just announced that the couple will be getting their own TV special entitled “Brandi and Jarrod: Married To The Job” which is set to premiere on April 22!
The series is set to give fans a “behind the scenes look at their lives outside of the auctions.” The couple live in Orange County, California, their off camera lives revolve around raising their two children, daughter, Payton and son, Cameron. The pair are also entrepreneurs off camera and manage a second hand store, “Now and Then Second Hand Store" which is located in Orange County, California. Similar to their comical relationship on screen during the auctions, the power struggle continues for Brandi and Jarrod at home. Brandi, who can be considered the more financially responsible of the pair, will be focused on the couple’s son, Cameron who is struggling with school. Brandi will be on a serious mission to find him the prefect tutor to aide him in his math struggles, however Jarrod seems less than interested in such practical responsibilities. Brandi’s counterpart Jarrod’s top priority in the TV special is his upcoming birthday party. According to the synopsis for “Brandi and Jarrod: Married To The Job,” Jarrod completely occupies himself with “planning his perfect birthday party with his rag tag friends.”
While A&E has not stated that the TV special is a back door pilot, it seems more likely than not, that the pair will soon be getting a reality series of their own. Unfortunately the interest in “Storage Wars” has been waning due to cast departures and structural changes, but Brandi and Jarrod seem to be more popular than ever. The move to their own series will most likely be similar to that of their former “Storage Wars” cast member Barry Weiss, who recently premiered his own series “Barry’d Treasure” on A&E.
