The tabloid carried a rather juicy story that went with the headline, “My Kids Don’t Recognize Me!” The story suggested how West and Kardashian’s oldest child North was finding it hard to recognize their mum after her “latest facelift.” And well, the story doesn’t end there.

The questionable report carried inputs from phony “sources” while claiming that North mistook their nanny for Kim. And, this was the last straw. “The wake-up moment came when North was recently flipping through photos in a magazine and asked who a lady was -- it was Kim!” said a supposed source adding, “That along with North mistaking her nanny for her mom got Kanye so freaked out.”

Similarly, the insider also makes an absurd mention about how West is in no mood to let Kardashian go ahead with endless surgeries henceforth. “Now the rapper is staging an intervention. He’s putting his foot down and saying no more butt jobs, slimming treatments, or Botox,” said the source.

Unsurprisingly, Gossip Cop spotted several red flags with this narrative -- right from the language used by the insider to the ambiguity surrounding the entire story.

Given how it’s not uncommon to find young children to refer to their guardians and authority figures as “mom” or “dad,” there’s nothing to be “freaked out” about, in the first place -- if North DID address a nanny as her “mom” in the first place, that is. Secondly, it’s highly unlikely for West to stage a drama and roll out an ultimatum to Kardashian in front of a source who has the potential to blurt it all out to a tabloid.

And lastly, this isn’t a one-off event. “NW” has a long-standing history of conjuring up baseless reports about the Kardashians -- there have been reports in the past that suggested how West was planning to disown his youngest children Chicago and Psalm as they were born via surrogate. That aside, the tabloid also ran a report about how West had decided to repopulate the world with his and Kardashian’s children.
