Not too long ago, the grapevine was abuzz with a juicy rumor -- Pitt getting up, close and personal with Alia Shawkat. So much so, it was speculated that their increasing closeness pushed Aniston to step up her game and workout for an enviable revenge bod. While the narrative piqued the interest of fans world over, Gossip Cop sprang in action to set the record straight.

This week, National Enquirer ran a story about Aniston’s “Revenge Body Overhaul”. The publication included insider info from a “trusted source” that claims Aniston to be going great lengths to look years younger just to grab Pitt’s attention. “She’s giving herself a head-to-toe tune-up,” says the source, as per the report, which she apparently hopes “will make her look 30 again.”

And that’s not all. The tabloid specifies how miffed Aniston was, at her ex-husband’s empty promises. Pitt allegedly teased Aniston that reconciliation was likely just before moving on with Shawkat. And, the sudden turn of events broke Aniston. “It’s don’t a major number on her self-esteem, but Jen’s damned if she’ll just sit there and sulk,” said the source, adding, “She wants to get out there and show Brad exactly what he’s missing -- and what better way than to knock herself into the shape of her life?”

While all these developments make for a great read, there’s little truth in the report. History is laden with instances of tabloids trying to stir up something between the ex-spouses for the sake of increased readership. Gossip Cop has time and again busted dubious stories about something brewing between Aniston and Pitt. Their camaraderie might have been evidenced at the 2020 SAG Awards, but the two have made it clear that they’re clearly not getting back despite repeated rumors on the same.

Aniston's probably taking good care of herself. But, it has nothing to do with Brad.

Pitt and Aniston ended things amicably, and they don’t harbor negative feelings whatsoever. But, expecting the ex-spouses to proceed beyond being “just friends” is out of question. And, largely, a figment of gossip mills.
