This June more than 50,000 people will make their way to Tennessee for the 13th annual Bonnaroo music and arts festival. The event offers a world-class music lineup performed on 13 stages over the course of four days. But with many music festivals the prices can be outrageous! Although the ticket prices have yet to be revealed you can be sure it is going to cost to spend four days listening to good music and seeing wonderful art.
Well this year Bonnaroo is offering something different for the fans who can’t afford to see this music festival live. The festival teamed up with Xbox to bring the festival events to the comfort of your living room. There will be multiple streams from the four-day show, and you'll get to socialize with other virtual attendees. You also won't have to wait until the spring to get a taste of the experience.
“Bonnaroo transcends the festival weekend, and with Xbox, we're creating a virtual destination befitting the live experience,” says Jonathan Mayers of Superfly Presents, co-founder of Bonnaroo with AC Entertainment. “This partnership shows our commitment to serving our global community with innovative Bonnaroo content year round.”
The 2014 Bonnaroo lineup announcement, aka BLAM!, will broadcast exclusively on Xbox and syndicated on bonnaroo.com Wednesday, Feb. 19. There will be a pre-show starting at 7 p.m. EST with BLAM! following at 9 p.m. EST. The announcement will be hosted by “Saturday Night Live” cast member Taran Killam and comedian Hannibal Buress. Download the Bonnaroo app from the Xbox Live Dashboard on Wednesday, Feb. 19 to watch the exciting event!
