Since the first release of "Arkham Asylum" in 2009 the acclaimed series of "Batman" games from Warner Bros. and Rocksteady Studios have become something of a gold standard for intensely satisfying hand-to-hand combat.
Though there are no actual iconic "POW's!" from the masked crime fighter in the new trailer for the upcoming "Batman: Arkham Origins," the Dark Knight's experienced combat skills are still on full display.
In a scene that looks like it came right from the Christopher Nolan's "Dark Knight" trilogy, Batman goes head-to-head with one of his many arch-nemesis, Deathstroke.
In keeping with the Caped Crusader's brand, Batman just relies on his fists and expensive, high-tech superhero gear, even when taking down a villain who's wielding two samurai swords.
However, this is a cinematic teaser trailer, not actual game play so the action in "Arkham Origins" may not be quite as exciting when the game finally comes out this fall. But if the first two "Arkham" games are any indication, actually playing as the Dark Knight will be even more fun.
The new game's story is being written by Corey May. May has previously worked on popular action-adventure games like "Assassin's Creed" and "Prince of Persia," so you know that there will be more than enough background information to explain why Batman and Deathstroke are in an all-out battle. .
"Batman: Arkham Origins" will be out Oct. 25 for the Xbox 360, Windows PC, PlayStation 3 and Wii U. Hopefully we will see more on the highly anticipated game at E3, but until then watch the action packed trailer below.
