Zac Efron naked? Yes please! And that’s exactly what we get in the "for mature audiences only" movie clip for "That Awkward Moment,” also starring Miles Teller and Michael B. Jordan. The movie focuses on three lifelong bros navigating through the tricky waters of 20-something romance. Formerly called “Are We Officially Dating?” it refers to the awkward moment when you’re not sure if you’re officially dating someone. It all starts when the three friends decide to stay single after Jordan’s character breaks up with his girlfriend.
There's even a comedic dispute over peanut-butter ice cream as Teller and Efron's characters refuse to let Jordan's character drown his sorrows in dessert after his breakup. "Who are you, Bridget Jones?" Efron asks. And in another callback to Bridget Jones, Zac shows up dressed in an inappropriate costume for a formal party with his girlfriend's parents, who happen to be Cate Blanchett and Kenneth Branagh. In another highlight, the guys decide to pop Viagra pills and find a hilarious way to pee while still under the effects. Zac appears sprawled across a toilet butt naked as he explains it to Miles’ character the awkward position.
It’s great to see Zac in new projects, especially after the scary incident that forced him to check himself into rehab. Efron suffered a collapse from a heroin overdose while at a party in his room at New York's Thompson Hotel. The incident was so bad that friends had to resuscitate him after popping oxycodone, Adderall and weed. This was a wakeup call for the "High School Musical" star. As the report surfaced, Zac was away in Peru on a spiritual journey, and soon after his return, he posted a photo of the trip to his Instagram account and thanked his fans for their support.
The photo shows that Zac is on the right path after reportedly being enrolled in two rehab programs this year to clean himself up after allegedly being addicted to cocaine for more than two years.
According to Us Weekly, Efron looked healthy and hunky as ever at the "That Awkward Moment" Q&A event in Culver City, Calif. on Tuesday. "The movie was about girls and friends and relationships and was showing kind of how our lives are so I think we knew a lot about it and I think we had almost too much fun," Efron told the crowd. It was great."
“That Awkward Moment” is out in theaters on Jan. 31, 2014. Watch the hilarious trailer below and let us know what you think!
