The Holiday season usually calls for spiced hot chocolate and eggnog, hot toddies and other delicious warm beverages that help us deal with the cold throughout the snowy festivities, but what if we wanted to bring the Caribbean to our house this winter? Well, for all of those dreaming of being at the beach sipping on a delicious tropical drink…we’ve got you covered!

With temperatures dropping up North, we can only imagine snowbirds are already daydreaming of warmer days. So, we gathered up some of our favorite tropical-inspired cocktail recipes from hotels, where the sun never burns out, to get rid of your winter blues. 1) Beyond Good & Evil - Sense Beach House

Ingredients:

1.5 oz Bacardi Silver RUm

1 oz Triple Sec

2 Jalapenos

1/2 Fresh Lime

Passion Fruit

Ice

Method:

Mix all liquid ingredients in a Mason jar glass over ice. Stir and and add jalapenos and lime, then drink.

2) Ocean Blue Mule - Stanton South Beach

Ingredients:

4 - 6oz of Gosling’s Ginger beer

2 oz Ketel One Vodka

4-7 Blueberries (3 for decoration)

1/2 Lime juice

1 dash of Simple Sugar (at your preference)

Ice

Method:

Crush 4 blueberries and squeeze lime into a copper glass. Add ice, then pour in the vodka and fill with cold ginger beer. Serve with a stirring rod.

3) Country Thyme Lemonade - The Resort at Longboat Key Club & Lido Beach Resort

Ingredients:

1.5 oz Svedka Citron

.75 oz Bacardi Limón

.25 oz Fresh Agave Sour

2 sprig thyme

3-5 blueberries

Soda

Ice

Method:

Rub sprig of thyme to free oils, and set into a tall cylinder glass. Pour vodka and fresh agave sour into shaker with ice and shake well. Pour drink into glass over ice and add soda. Garnish cocktail with thyme and blueberries.

4) Corazón Naranja - The Hotel Zamora

Ingredients:

2 oz. Havana Club rum

1 oz. Solerno blood orange liqueur

splash of Tahitian vanilla

pineapple juice

orange peel

Method:

Mix all ingredients in a cocktail shaker and shake well with ice. Serve in a martini glass with an orange peel garnish.

5) Aruba Aloe Cocktail - Aruba Marriott Resort & Stellaris Casino

Ingredients:

2 oz. vodka

.75 oz. Triple Sec or Cointreau

Banana liqueur

Soda water

Aloe juice

Splash of pineapple

Drop of Grenadine

Method:

Mix all of the ingredients in a glass over ice. Stir, then drink.

6) St. Kitts Mango Colada - St. Kitts Marriott Resort & The Royal Beach Casino

Ingredients:

2 oz. clear rum

Coconut water

Fresh blended mango puree

Method:

Mix all of the ingredients, pour over ice into a tropical glass of your choice, then drink. Another option is to use a blender: add ice into the blender, then add all the ingredients, then blend until the mix is smooth. Your tropical cocktail is ready!
