Production I.G has confirmed that the "Attack on Titan: Junior High" manga will be adapted into an anime series. Furthermore, the show will premiere this October in Japan, according to Anime News Network. From what we can tell the series plotline will be much like the original "Attack on Titan" with a much more light animation style.
The series is based on Saki Nakagawa's manga "Attack on Titan: Junior High," which is targeted at a much younger demographic, reports IGN. The Junior High manga draws its inspiration from the original "Attack on Titan" manga by Hajime Isayama. Yoshihide Ibata ("Kill la Kill") is directing the anime, with Midori Gotou handling series composition. Yuuko Yahiro is designing the characters, and Asami Tachibana will be composing the music.
Meanwhile, while fans eagerly await for a second season of "Attack on Titan" the popular anime is getting a two-part live-action film, which hits U.S. theaters later this year. Check out the trailer for part one below along with the trailer for "Attack on Titan: Junior High."
