We may not know much about season two of "Attack on Titan," but the one thing we are certain of is the new season won't arrive until next year. However, there are a few compilation movies coming out in Japan that will include remastered footage from the first season. The first movie will include the first 13 episodes and the second will finish off the rest of the first season reports iDigital Times.
According to Anime News Network, the second compliation movie will include new never-before-seen footage at the end that will directly link to "Attack on Titan" season two.
The official "Attack on Titan" website released the trailer for the second compilation movie titled, "Attack on Titan Part 2: Wings of Freedom," which you can see below.
Meanwhile, "Attack on Titan" series director Tetsuro Araki recently spoke about the delayed release of the second season of the anime during the press conference for the first compilation film "Attack on Titan Part 1: Crimson Bow and Arrow."
According to the director, there are a lot of things happening in the "Attack on Titan" franchise this year, which hinders the second season production and has delayed the hit-anime to 2016. It was also revealed the delay is due to Hajime Isayama's best-selling manga lacking two-story arc, which make it impossible for Araki to come up with a new season.
Previously, the first season of "Attack on Titan" covered the manga's first 34 chapters. It means that the anime already showed the four-story arc of Isayama's masterpiece, including "The Fall of Shiganshina," "104th Trainees Squad," "Battle of Trost District," and "The Female Titan."
We'll have to wait until 2016 to learn more about season two but hopefully we'll start seeing more screens and video around Q4 of 2015.
