Asus has been known for a lot of things and that includes mobile phones made for gaming. For those planning to get one soon, it may be best to wait for the Asus ROG Phone 5. The company announced it is coming on Mar. 10 and there is an actual countdown happening over at their official website.
For those who have followed the Asus ROG phone series, the jump to the no. 5 may be surprising. No Asus ROG Phone 4 ever came out, leading many to believe that the company had purposely skipped it. The only reason being suggested right now is that it could be a bad luck number in some regions.
Regardless, the good news is that gaming enthusiasts can look forward to another gaming phone hitting the market next month. But before that, what is there to expect from the Asus ROG Phone 5?
So far, the official features and specs of the next gaming phone have not come out. There have been rumors on what the Asus ROG phone 5 may carry but all these should be taken with a grain of salt.
On the outside, the Asus ROG Phone 5 is speculated to sport a 6.78-inch screen which should be enough for avid gamers. Under the hood, the phone may bank on a Snapdragon 888 SoC, 16 GB of RAM and a 64 MP main camera. It has been suggested as well that he phone will come with a 6,000 mAh battery with 65W charging.
Most of these come from leaks and rumors. A better expectation is to bump up what the Asus ROG Phone 3 carried but modestly. Given that the device will be unveiled on Mar. 10, updates on what the Asus ROG Phone 5 has to offer should incrementally come out.
For now, the good news is that mobile gamers have a new phone to watch out for to satisfy their mobile gaming remands.
