Apple has just sent out media invites for their September 10 media event where it is highly-rumored that the company will announced their next-generation iPhone hardware and new iOS 7 software. The event will begin at 10:00 AM Pacific Time and will be held at the Company's headquarters in Cupertino Calif., according to The Loop.
The invite reaffirms expectations that Apple will launch two new model iPhones, the 5S and 5C, for the first time. As indicated by the numerous case leaks over the last months the iPhone 5C is expected to come in a variety of colors. The invite seems to back this up as well with multiple colored dots and uses the tagline, "This should brighten everyone's day."
It has been rumored that the iPhone 5 successor's the iPhone 5S will be introduced as well as Apple's low-cost iPhone 5C. The 5C is reportedly to have the same internal components as the current iPhone 5 but wrapped in colorful new plastic shells. The event will also see the final version of Apple's new iOS 7 which was announced earlier this month at WWDC.
Since the announcement of Apple's media event rumors of two new iPads have been reported as being unveiled at the event September 10. But recent reports has put those rumors to rest and say that this event will focus solely on the new iPhones and iOS software. It is likely a number of Mac updates are coming the following months as well, but they too are likely to be held for a later date.
If Apple follows previous trends the new iPhone 5C and 5S should be released within two weeks of the announcement of both devices, which is September 20.
