Apple has released the third iOS 7.1 beta for developers. Reuters

The third beta of iOS 7.1 has been released to registered developers. This new release follows the second beta of 7.1 which was released in mid-December and comes with the build number 11d5127c. If you have not downloaded the new beta it is available over-the-air or through Apple’s developer center webpage. The first and second and betas of iOS 7.1 bundled multiple bug fixes along with a couple of new features including: new “button shapes” option in accessibility, a more prominent location for Touch ID and passcode options.

This third beta includes multiple fixes for audiobook playbook and iCloud account setup with iCloud Keychain and a lot more smaller tweaks that have yet to be documented. It has also been reported that while the dark keyboard option that was added back in the first beta for iOS 7.1 and removed in the second beta has not yet returned in the latest beta. Apple has also tweaked the keyboard a bit, most notably the delete button which is now a filled color instead of transparent.

iOS 7.1 Beta three also includes a new look for the confirmation screen when powering down the device. The phone dialer now uses round “Call” and “End” buttons rather than the large rectangular ones used before. The incoming call screen has adopted round buttons as well. Also notable in beta three for iOS 7.1 is the green color of the Phone, FaceTime and Messages app has been toned down slightly.

While there is an expanded “increase Contrast section in the Accessibility settings. These settings now has three separate settings allowing users to reduce transparency, darken colors and reduce white point. Lastly there is a setting to turn off parallax when setting your wallpaper on your iOS device. It might be another couple of months until users get ahold of iOS 7.1 as a recent report says that the trial period for this next update will be more extensive than the last.
