Univision did not only say goodbye to "Sábado Gigante," it is also saying farewell to the Carmona and Velasco family from "Amores Con Trampa." The finale of the primetime telenovela comedy is set to air Monday, September 21 starting at 8pm ET/PT. This comedic soap starred Itatí Cantoral, Africa Zavala, Ernesto Laguardia and Eduardo Yañez that involved two families with opposing lifestyles. The Carmona family grew up in a rural area of México, their life changes completely when the government buys out their land. They decide to move to the city so their children have bigger and better opportunities.
In the city they meet the Velasco family, their neighbors who live a luxurious life. They initially clash as they are completely opposite and both have a hard time adapting to each other. The Velasco family is in a pickle though, their fortune is gone and they try to befriend the Carmona's to con them out of their money. As they get to know each other more, they grow to love and care for each other. "Amores Con Trampa" was a fun telenovela and we are sad to see it go. If you are too eager to find out what happens on the last episode, we got you covered with spoilers down below. You're welcome!
1. Carmona-Velasco Wedding: Yes, the Carmona and Velasco family will be united forever as Beto and Rocío decide to tie the knot. The celebration unites the families one last time in the name of love.
2. Lupillo Rivera Guest Stars: One of the surprises for the wedding was Lupillo singing at the reception. Rivera also has one funny scene with Facundo that you won't want to miss when it airs.
3. Julián Figueroa Sings: Following the death of Joan Sebastian, who sang the theme song to this telenovela, it was only appropriate that the Emilio Larrosa production pay tribute to the late singer. Joan's son with Maribel Guardia, Julián Figueroa, sings the theme song at the wedding reception and thanks everyone for their support. You can watch that moment here!
4. Isabel Gets Kidnapped: Esteban kidnaps Isabel and threatens her life, but luckily she comes out of this with no major repercussions.
5. Velasco Family Loses Everything: Crazy Esteban burns the Velasco family down and they are forced to start from zero. That doesn't matter anymore as they are a tight-knit group and can face any adversity.
6. Esteban Starts Working For The Carmona's: Esteban really doesn't have to pay for anything he did, he doesn't go to jail, he ends up working at the Carmona ranch.
7. Estefany Becomes A Pole Dancer: This was completely random, Estefany starts working as a pole dancer. The place gets raided and she ends up in jail.
8. Carmona's Return To Their Home: The Carmona's missed their ranch so much they went back to live there.
9. The Carmona's Return To The City: The Carmona's get a tempting offer from the government buying their land. This is a call back to the first episode. This time, everyone's opinion is considered. They love the life in the ranch, but they also look back and think about everything they learned in the city and how much they have grown. This time, they only sell part of their land and will commute back and forth having the best of both worlds.
10. Real Life Drama: In real life there was tension between the actors Itatí Cantoral, Ernesto Laguardia, Africa Zavala and Eduardo Yañez. The only times they appear in one same spot is at the wedding, but watch closely as they don't really cross words. There's only one scene between Facundo and Santiago, but other than that, the two families are completely separate, which is completely ironic because the message of this telenovela is the family unity.
