For Ernesto Laguardia, whose trajectory began in the '70s, taking on a comedy role can be quite challenging. In "Amores Con Trampa," the Mexican actor portrays Santiago Velasco, an ambitious man whose construction company faces bankruptcy and who'll do whatever it takes to get out of this situation.
"Comedy is a complicated genre, but thank God everything came out great," Laguardia told Latin Times. "My role had a lot of success with the audience. Many people have liked the 'Velasco' family, because through our characters we demonstrate family values." In the 126 episodes of the show, Ernesto said his role as Santiago is different than any he's ever done in his career. "He does everything for his family, to keep them united," he said. "He's a bad guy, but he's full of life. We were able to talk about love and family values with one single character."
"Amores Con Trampa" will air its grand finale on Sept. 21st via Univision, and according to Laguardia, it's worth watching! "There's going to be a wedding, there's going to be kidnapping, and a crazy situation with the Velasco family. The best part of it all, is the way we survive," he said.
