Former President Donald Trump has been agreeing to interviews then failing to schedule a date, and one adviser allegedly said it's because the Republican presidential nominee is "exhausted."
Trump was reportedly in talks for a sit-down interview with The Shade Room, a popular media outlet with a predominantly young and Black audience, but after weeks of omitting to set a date, a Trump advisor told The Shade Room producers he is "exhausted and refusing [some] interviews but that could change" at any time, according to reporting by Politico.
The former president allegedly suggested rapper Waka Flocka Flame, who voiced his support for Trump in an X post from October 2023, appear in his stead, according to Politico.
Meanwhile, Trump's National Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt denied the accusation on Thursday, telling Playbook it "is unequivocally false."
"President Trump is running laps around Kamala Harris on the campaign trail," Leavitt said. "And has done media interviews every day this week. He has more energy and a harder work ethic than anyone in politics."
